~ 4/10/06 ~ Like OMG "American Idol"!!! Okay, normally I loathe "American Idol" but, holy crap, this Tuesday is gonna be an all-Queen show!!! When I saw the comercial for it, I went completely barmy (as always). On the one hand, I'm excited and glad, on the other I loathe "American Idol" anew for finding ever more ways to make poor Freddie spin in his grave... It seems as though every year they try to get somebody to sing "Bohemian Rhapsody" because any and everybody who attempts it ends up looking s00per st00pid, and that makes for good t.v. ...Constantine... you... bastard...

~ 4/17/06 ~ Given the fact that, at this point, I doubt a single living soul has seen OLAL #1, I'm gonna leave it up another week and buy myself some time... Partly because I'm so lazy, but also because I don't wanna archive it just yet. While I do have plenty of comics ready to go, if no one's reading them... I might as well wait another week. ..... Anyway, about that "American Idol" last week. Eeeeeeee! Hot damn, if I'da known Roger Taylor and Brian May were gonna be involved, I would have taped it! Grrr! Oh well, guess I gotta wait till that season goes on DVD (they'd better put it on DVD... seriously, as adverse as I am to "American Idol" I'd totally buy it just for that episode!!!). Awwww Brian May! =D I know he is almost thrice my age but he's still so cuuuute ^-^ I think he got cuter over the years, really. He's positively kawaii! Yay! I am like, totally crushing! I was kinda jealous, since none of the "Idol" contestants seemed to really appreciate the honor and significance of getting to FRIGGIN SING WITH QUEEN -- I MEAN HOLY CRAP!!! If they had, I think every single one of them would have been white with shock and on the verge of passing out, but... It was like no big deal to them. Come on! Still, I remind myself, there is no honor in being an American Idol, and are those the circumstances under which you'd really want to meet 1/2 of Queen? Brian May, who seems to be enthusiastic and a good sport about everything, was being polite and nurturing to the Idol childrens (Aww, he so nice! That's a Cancer for you!), but it looked like Roger Taylor (a fiesty Leo! :D) was just paying them lip service... He's known for his hatred of Queen cover bands, so what must he have been thinking during this! It looked rather like he was biting his tongue! Ah, well if I were there, I know I'd be thinking about that and it would probably make me feel bad (like "I'm not worthy!!!")... Plus, all that "American Idol" crap you have to go through just wouldn't be worth it, unless you knew about the whole 'getting to jam with Queen' thing beforehand... if you even were lucky enough to get that far. Feh.
